On the 29th, 30th and 31st October, over three days, an on-site workshop on ’Fundamentals for the management of an immersed tunnel project’ was co-organised with the World Bank in Itajai, Brazil.
The objective of this workshop was to provide an overview of the design, the construction and the operation of immersed road tunnels which require a specific approach and know-how. This workshop covered all aspects from the initial design phases to the maintenance of the infrastructure, detailing the specific features of immersed tunnels.
