Animator of ITA-working group 17 on long tunnels at great depth.
Lecturer for Underground Construction at the Swiss federal polytechnic school of Lausanne.
Main Projects:
• 1994-2005, Loetschberg-Base Tunnel, 35 km, Switzerland: 1994-1999 Project engineer for the central adit, 2000-2005 Site manager of the south construction sites;
• 2008 to present, Nant de Drance 900 MW Pumped Storage Power plant, Switzerland, project cost 2 Billion USD: General site manager.
Experienced in hard rock tunneling (TBM and D+B), high depth tunneling (Rock burst), major projects, shafts, big caverns, injection under high water pressure and natural hazard management in mountainous regions.
