Laurence Delplace has been immersed in the tunnelling industry since she graduated from the Swiss Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). Beginning her journey at Herrenknecht, she gained invaluable experience in customer interaction, international dynamics, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Driven by her desire to broaden her expertise, she started working at Amberg Engineering, a Swiss-based engineering firm specializing in tunnelling and underground spaces. Here, she embarked on a journey that saw her progress from Project Engineer to Project Manager and Regional Manager. Each step in this progression honed her skills and deepened her understanding of the industry.

Now, as CEO of Amberg Engineering, she is entrusted with steering the company’s strategic direction and overall management together with a strong executive management team. Her responsibilities encompass driving business growth, fostering innovation, and ensuring the delivery of top-notch engineering solutions. She manage daily operations, cultivate client partnerships, and champion initiatives aimed at solidifying Amberg’s position as an industry leader.

She is deeply passionate about the tunnelling sector; the projects we undertake are not only awe-inspiring but also immensely complex. From her early days as a Project Engineer to now leading the company as CEO, she has been proud to make significant contributions to this field, leveraging hard work, innovative thinking, and an unwavering drive to propel us towards the connected cities of the future.
