Foundation scholarship awarded to Daniela Zapata

The ITACET Foundation is delighted to announce that it has awarded a scholarship to Daniela Zapata from Colombia, who has enrolled on the 2018-2019 edition of the Specialized Master's in Tunnels and Underground Structures, run by the ENTPE/INSA in Lyon, France. The Foundation wishes Daniela all the best in her studies and future career.

The Foundation Council meets at Herrenknecht

At the invitation of Martin Herrenknecht, ITACET Foundation Council met at the Herrenknecht headquarters in Schwanau, Germany on 29th October.

The GDPR

As you may well know, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation was implemented during May 2018. This signals a drastic change in the law relating to how data is stored and used. ITACET Foundation has also had to comply with these new regulations and as a result we have made many changes and updates to our way of working. Here are just some examples of what we have done to comply:

The ITACET Foundation ‘Private Area’

Here at the ITACET Foundation we have been working hard on a new venture, that of the ‘Private Area’. Created as a digital document library on our website, we aim to put presentations given at training sessions into this Private Area. Our hope is that this area will serve as a source of knowledge and reference on all subjects underground for the future lecturers.

During the official opening ceremony of the World Tunneling Congress in Dubai on April 23, 2018, the former ITA President and longtime STUVA Managing Director Prof. Alfred Haack was honoured with the ITACET Award 2018.

A successful Council meeting in Paris

The Council of the ITACET Foundation met in Paris, France, on 9th Februray 2018 to discuss recent Foundation activities and current organizational, financial and strategic issues.

The Foundation Council meets in Dubai

The ITACET Foundation's Council made the most of the presence of several of its members at the 5th IRF Middle East and North Africa Regional Congress and Exhibition in Dubai to hold a meeting. The meeting took place on October 30th 2017 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
