Maud Macary graduated from the French National School for State Civil Works with in civil engineering. She also has a MSc in Transport and Business management from Imperial College and University College London. After 4 years working as project manager in waterway works, she joined CETU (Center for Tunnel Studies), which is the French government technical center for tunnel studies and research. She is working on various projects: railway alpine tunnels, underground railway stations in urban area, small underground gallery for scientific research and water tunnels using micro tunneling machines. She has developed extensive professional skills in project management and risk management in work tunnelling contracts. She also lectures on the topic of tunnelling projects and risk management in French universities within the scope of postgraduate degrees.
