SEMINAR in BAKU, AZERBAIDJAN.

Press release. September 12,13 2012 - Together with the Azerbaijan and the ITA-AITES, the Foundation organized a two days seminar on "TUNNELLING IN URBAN AREA".

 

An international pannel of renowed experts, namely and by order of their intervention Messrs . and Mses. Olivier Vion, In-Mo Lee, Harald Wagner, Lars Babendererde, Søren Eskesen, Bai Yun, Karin Bäppler, Alexey Bokhan, Michel Deffayet and Jean-Daniel Arnal, gave a total of 16 lectures during this two days training session.

Most of the attendees have been on a senior level from the university, clients, contractors and consultants.Very good interest has been shown, particular during discussions after individual lectures. The Dean of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction hosting the training session did show her interest for future conferences provided that it is possible to find industry sponsors.

World tunnel congress 2012 Bangkok

Thailand underground & Tunnelling Group TUTG, ITA-AITES and the ITACET Foundation jointly organized the traditional WTC training session aimed at young professionals.

This year the topic was “Urban Tunnelling in Urban Areas”; 163 participants from 33 different countries attended.

Prof. Andre Assis giving the opening speach of the training session The training session was inaugurated by TUTG representative Prof. Noppadol PHIENWEJ and Mr. Andre Assis, chairman of the executive board of the ITACET Foundation.

The Foundation and the Thai organizer favored the participants of surrounding emerging countries by granting them a lower admission fee.

Furthermore, four members of the newly admitted member nation to ITA-AITES Myanmar were given free access to the training session.

The training session, hosted at the elegant Bangkok Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), was efficiently administered by TUTG staff at the great satisfaction of the participants and the lecturers. Read more (adobe Pdf)>>
